Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog JUJU last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.

Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.

James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux animal abuse charity customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
